How to update your VicidialNOW to Vicidial 2.2 SVN

The latest version of VicidialNOW comes with Vicidial 2.0.5.1rc1. It's more than a year old and will be replaced by the upcoming 2.2 version (rc7 as of this writing). Here are the steps to update your shiny newly installed VicidialNOW system to the latest Vicidial 2.2 SVN.

Login as root:

Change to astguiclient directory:

cd /usr/src/astguiclient/

Install subversion:

yum install subversion -y

Download Vicidial 2.2 SVN:

svn checkout svn://svn.eflo.net:3690/agc_2-X/branches/agc_2.2.0

Change to agc_2.2.0 directory:

cd agc_2.2.0/

Run install.pl script:

perl install.pl

Don't forget to answer "Y" when asked "Copy sample configuration files to /etc/asterisk/?"

Upgrade the Mysql Asterisk database:

mysql -pvicidialnow asterisk

\. /usr/src/astguiclient/agc_2.2.0/extras/upgrade_2.2.0.sql

That's it! You now have the latest and greatest Vicidial 2.2 SVN.

  1. Hello,
If I update this, will it overide my entire server? I have vicidialnow installed but I also have other applications installed.

  2. Hi,

It won't override your system. The upgrade will only overwrite Vicidial related files (vicidial web pages, vicidial perl scripts and etc). However, the existing data (via mysql database) will be converted to the newer version.

  3. Damien,

After I upgraded to 2.2 SVN with no errors, vicidial stopped autodialing. All script versions are correct and up to date. Manual dialing works fine. When I switch to auto dial it does not work, no matter which mode or ratio I choose. When I look at the screen output of VDautodial it thinks there are 0 live agents logged in - could that be the issue, and what do you think might be causing it?

  4. Addendum to above: When I switch campaign dial modes I have all my agents (about 10-20 depending on hour of the day) log completely out and then back in. Even when all 20 available accounts are logged in, VDautodial still thinks there are 0 live agents.

  6. Yes I tried several times. I just noticed the new blog post you made. Does that have something to do with it?

I have got the same issue with 2.2 SVN as my agents have logged in but no calls coming.

Any more settings to be checked.
